Google has unveiled the Pixel 11 phone series, comprising the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL, with a primary focus on expanding Gemini’s functions and its ability to perform tasks on the user’s behalf, rather than introducing major changes to the phones’ design or internal components. The devices will be available for preorder starting August 12, 2026, with prices starting at $899.
Gemini performs multiple tasks
Google allows Gemini users in the United States to perform tasks such as ordering groceries, booking taxis, and buying coffee. Gemini can also call businesses on the user’s behalf to make restaurant or appointment reservations. The company says users can stop or take over a task at any time, in addition to reviewing transcripts of calls made by the AI.
Over the coming weeks, a new group of connected apps will be able to work with Gemini to complete tasks, including Granola, Otter.ai, Wix, Fever, Get Your Guide, Localiza, and OpenTable in the United Kingdom, as well as Ticketmaster, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Angi, Thumbtack, and Zocdoc.
Google has also enhanced the Magic Cue feature introduced last year so that it uses Gemini to display contextual information from multiple apps. The feature is intended to provide suggestions related to what the user is looking for, such as choosing a restaurant for dinner or finding a suitable offer.
The Rambler dictation product, which Google announced in May to compete with tools such as Wispr Flow and Aqua, is also coming to Pixel 11 phones. The devices support translating videos, podcasts, and voice messages into the target language, while the Circle to Search feature is now available directly within the Camera app.
One accessibility feature uses Gemini to translate sign language into text, with the aim of helping users communicate with people who are hard of hearing. Google has also redesigned the Live Transcribe interface to improve communication.
AI-powered photography features
The camera introduces Magic Capture, which selects the best shots from among hundreds of frames captured by the phone during the period between starting and stopping recording. After extracting frames from the video, the feature can crop them and remove blur so they are ready to share.
Google has increased the range of Super Res Zoom on Pro phones from 100x to 120x, and on the base Pixel 11 from 20x to 30x. Users can also create a custom camera look, consisting of specialized filters that appear while taking photos.
Pro phones receive the Instant Night Sight feature, which captures photos in low light 4.5 times faster than Night Sight on the previous generation. The devices also support 8K video recording with Video Boost and stabilization improvements.
Google is adding Creator Suite mode to the video settings, allowing the phone to be used as a teleprompter while recording clips. After recording is complete, the clip is saved in a dedicated folder to make it easier to find during editing.
Hardware and pricing updates
All Pixel 11 phones are powered by the Tensor G6 processor, which Google says improves power efficiency by 20% and delivers 25% faster browsing. The processor also helps capture low-light photos more quickly, while the new image processing enables 120x Super Res Zoom on the Pixel 11 Pro XL. The company did not provide specific figures regarding reductions in latency for the newer models.
Screen sizes remain the same across all phones, while the Pro models receive a slightly brighter display. Google says the Pro models use an updated main camera sensor that captures higher-quality photos than the previous generation, without specifying figures, along with a telephoto sensor that allows 32% more light to enter.
The phones include an LED light on the rear, around the flashlight, which acts as an indicator for incoming calls or messages from favorite contacts when Gemini is in thinking or listening mode.

All models come with 256GB of base storage. The Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro match the prices of last year’s 256GB models, but Google offered a 128GB option at the time for $100 less. A new range of accessories is launching alongside the phones, including Pixelsnap cases, among them a transparent option, and new colors for the Pixelsnap Ring Stand.
