The startup Telo is betting on the MT1, a Mini Cooper-sized electric truck with a full-length cargo bed and 800-volt/400-volt architecture, to offer a smaller alternative to massive American trucks. Despite its ambitious specifications and more than 14,000 reservations, the vehicle still needs crash testing and EPA and California approvals before deliveries targeted for 2027 can begin.
