Volkswagen is preparing to recall several thousand electric vehicles, including the ID.3, ID.4, ID.7, ID. Buzz and Cupra Born, after discovering high-voltage battery cells that do not meet quality requirements. The company is temporarily recommending that owners limit charging to 80% to reduce the risk of thermal runaway or fire until a remedy is determined.
