Kia has begun testing a vehicle-sharing service in South Korea that allows users to book an electric PV5 van to arrive autonomously at their location, after which a remote driver returns it to the garage over 4G or 5G networks. The trial will continue through the end of 2026, ahead of expansion in 2027.
Kia has revealed the PV7, an electric commercial van larger than the PV5, measuring more than 5.35 metres in length, with battery options of up to 96.2 kWh and a range exceeding 460 kilometres according to WLTP. Sales of the passenger and cargo versions will begin in Korea and Europe during the second half of 2027.
