Microsoft has released the optional cumulative update KB5120998 for Windows 11 versions 25H2 and 24H2, including improvements to the taskbar, Start menu, and search, along with the initial rollout of the Administrator protection feature. The update contains no security fixes, but it removes the WMIC tool from both versions and allows IT administrators to test the changes before broader deployment.
