Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır outlined the Turkish Artificial Intelligence Plan 2026–2030, which includes 16 measures and the establishment of artificial intelligence literacy workshops in all Turkish provinces. The plan aims to train 10,000 advanced experts and 100,000 specialists in artificial intelligence applications in the coming period.
UNESCO warned that a lack of reading, writing, digital and artificial intelligence literacy skills may leave individuals more vulnerable to disinformation, algorithmic bias and exclusion from digital services. The organization calls for integrating AI learning into curricula without neglecting basic literacy skills.
