AWS has added metadata prefiltering to Amazon S3 Vectors before similarity search, potentially increasing the recall rate of matching results by up to five times in queries with selective filters. The feature is available at no additional cost and without re-ingesting data, but it requires moving existing indexes to ENHANCED mode.
