Hunt.io uncovered a campaign named CameraSwarm that compromised 14,530 Dahua IP cameras between June 17 and July 22, 2026, using brute-force guessing, vulnerability exploitation, and a cloud account-recovery mechanism. Researchers warn that removing the backdoor account alone does not invalidate recovery tokens created by the attackers.
