Anthropic announced an update to Claude’s usage policy, clarifying restrictions on deceptive campaigns, weapons development software, surveillance, and high-impact uses. The new policy takes effect on November 12, 2026, and also includes additional requirements for systems connected to devices capable of autonomously carrying out physical actions.
