The startup Elorian has launched the Glimpse model as a research release with a chat interface and API. During inference, it returns to images and video clips to crop regions, analyze frames, and run code. The company says the model outperforms GPT-6 Astra in its evaluations on scientific diagram reasoning and short-video description, despite being smaller and less expensive than leading models.
