Cloudflare and OpenAI announced initial results from a research experiment that began in July 2026 and used signals from the Cloudflare network to help OpenAI discover and index new web pages more efficiently. The experiment covered approximately 1% of Cloudflare’s network and, according to the companies, resulted in the discovery of hundreds of millions of new pages while reducing unnecessary automated requests.
