Truffle Security found 543,699 unique credentials that were still valid in July after scanning 224 million repositories and more than 58 billion files. The findings show that GitHub’s protections reduced leaks within the categories they cover, but do not eliminate previously exposed secrets and do not include broad types of credentials.
