An analysis by the Information and Decision Support Center shows that the metals contained in e-waste worldwide were worth approximately $91 billion in 2022, compared with only $28 billion in recovered secondary raw materials. Egypt has a legislative framework, recycling infrastructure, and initiatives to repair and refurbish devices, but it still needs to increase formal collection rates and deepen recovery capabilities.
