Innovative Design and Smart Technology
OnePlus has unveiled its new OnePlus Buds Clip, the company's first open-ear wireless earbuds. The earbuds feature a C-bridge design made from a flexible nickel-titanium alloy, allowing them to adapt to the shape of the ear without excessive pressure, a design that has received the "Comfortable Fit" certification from TÜV Rheinland.
The most notable feature of this release is the Symmetrical Automatic Switching technology; the earbuds contain internal sensors that detect which ear the earbud is placed in, automatically redirecting audio channels (left and right) to match the wearing position, eliminating the need to assign a specific earbud to each ear.
Audio Performance and Integrated Technologies
OnePlus has equipped the earbuds with a dual-driver system consisting of an 11mm woofer and a 9mm tweeter, with sound tuning in collaboration with Dynaudio. To ensure sound quality, the earbuds support the LHDC 5.0 codec and utilize "Dipole Sound-Field" technology, which aims to reduce sound leakage to the surrounding environment.
Regarding calls, the earbuds rely on a six-microphone array powered by a 6nm AI Audio Chip, which works to isolate ambient noise and capture bone vibrations to improve voice clarity.
What This Means for Users
These earbuds target users who prefer to remain aware of their surroundings throughout the day while maintaining comfort. In practical terms, the earbuds offer:
- Long battery life: Up to 9.5 hours of continuous playback, extending to 40 hours with the charging case.
- Advanced connectivity: Support for Bluetooth 6.1 technology, with quick pairing features (Google Fast Pair and Windows Swift Pair).
- High durability: IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.
- Additional features: Support for real-time AI translation when used with OnePlus phones, and built-in alerts in case one of the earbuds falls out.
Although the full technical specifications have been revealed and they are available in three colors (Pearl White, Pebble Gray, and Twilight Rose), OnePlus has not yet announced official pricing or the specific markets where the earbuds will be available, noting that they are currently listed on the company's global website.
