ASUS Unveils ExpertBook A7: An Ultra-Thin Laptop Integrating AI with Enterprise-Grade Security Standards

ASUS has unveiled its new ExpertBook A7 (14-inch), a laptop specifically designed to meet the needs of professionals in the era of hybrid work. The device focuses on combining ultra-lightweight design, powerful performance, and advanced levels of cybersecurity, making it a tool aimed at users who constantly move between different work environments.

Engineering Design and Ultra-Clear Display

The ExpertBook A7 features a chassis made of 6000 series aluminum alloy using CNC precision milling techniques, which allowed for the production of a device with a thickness not exceeding 1 cm and a weight starting from only 1.2 kg. This compact design does not sacrifice durability, as the device undergoes US military standard tests MIL-STD-810H.

Visually, the device comes equipped with a OLED display with 3K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, providing a smooth and high-resolution viewing experience. The screen supports a screen-to-body ratio of up to 90%, with an anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coating to ensure visibility in various lighting conditions.

Performance and MyExpert AI Platform

The device relies on processors up to Intel Core 7, with LPDDR5X RAM of 16 GB, and PCIe SSD storage of 512 GB. To enhance productivity, ASUS has integrated the ASUS MyExpert platform, which employs AI capabilities in practical tasks such as:

  • Intelligent search in documents and images.
  • Summarizing long content and automatically preparing task lists.
  • Real-time translation and writing assistance.
  • Speech-to-text conversion during digital meetings.

ExpertGuardian Security Ecosystem

Given its target of the business sector, ASUS has equipped the device with the ASUS ExpertGuardian protection ecosystem. This ecosystem includes Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) protection compliant with the NIST SP 800-193 standard, in addition to supporting the Windows 11 Secured-core PC framework. The device also provides physical and digital protection layers including:

  • A discrete TPM 2.0 chip for storing encryption keys.
  • Identity authentication via fingerprint using FIDO2 technology.
  • A Kensington Nano security slot for physical protection in public places.

What makes this device stand out for professionals?

The fundamental change in this version lies in the attempt to break the difficult equation between "extreme thinness" and "enterprise security." While most thin devices focus on home consumption, the ExpertBook A7 offers security features (such as BIOS protection and 5 years of security updates) that were previously limited to bulky devices. Furthermore, integrating AI tools directly into the workflow via the MyExpert platform aims to reduce time wasted on administrative tasks while on the move.

The ExpertBook A7 is scheduled to be available in the Egyptian market starting from the first quarter of 2027.
