A software teardown of version 18.0.664204 of the Android Auto app revealed a hidden icon labeled "Work Mode." This icon, which appears as a briefcase symbol over the app drawer, indicates Google's intention to integrate "Work Profile" controls more deeply into the car interface.
Although the icon appears when programmatically enabled, it is currently non-functional, and Google has not issued any official statements regarding its release date or its exact nature of operation.
