Uber invested $10 million in Indian company Carrum Mobility in a Series B round, raising the company’s valuation to approximately $168 million. Carrum plans to more than double its fleet within 12 months, while Uber is increasing its reliance on fleet operators to provide vehicles and drivers, particularly for Uber Black.
Uber and Wayve have begun offering rides in London using Mustang Mach-E vehicles equipped with the Wayve AI Driver system, with a licensed driver able to intervene when necessary. The service remains limited and does not represent fully autonomous taxi operations, and the companies have not disclosed the size of the initial fleet.
Delivery Hero’s Management and Supervisory Boards recommended that shareholders accept Uber’s cash offer of €41.50 per share, a step that brings the transaction closer to completion. The plan includes transferring Yemeksepeti and other operations to SSW Partners for approximately $1.6 billion, while the offer acceptance period ends on November 5, 2026.
