The United Kingdom recorded 99,199 battery-electric cars in September 2026, up 36.3% year on year and representing a 28.3% market share, while the Tesla Model 3 led electric-car sales. At the same time, the record figure highlights a dispute between demand growth and the automotive sector’s calls to ease the targets of the Zero Emission Vehicle policy.
Tesla increased the size of the central screen in all Model 3 trims sold in China to 16 inches and enabled AC power output of up to 2.2 kilowatts for all Model 3 and Model Y vehicles there. These updates do not include the Model 3 in the United States, which retains a 15.4-inch screen and does not support V2L.
