OpenAI introduced the GPT-6.1 Sol model for coding, computer use, document analysis, and multi-step workflows, with performance approaching GPT-6 Astra in several tests and API prices at approximately one-fifth of Astra’s cost. The model is available through ChatGPT Work, Codex, and the API, but has not yet reached the standard chat interface.
