Vodafone Egypt has begun the commercial use of the Ericsson RAN Processor 6672, designed to run artificial intelligence workloads and support 5G networks directly within network sites. Ericsson says the processor increases processing capacity fourfold and reduces energy consumption by more than 50% compared with the previous generation.
