Saudi Arabia's BRKZ Raises $31 Million to Expand Its AI-Powered Construction Materials Procurement Platform

Saudi startup BRKZ, which specializes in construction materials procurement technology, has raised $31 million in new capital through financing that combines $13 million in a Series B round and $18 million in debt growth financing. Wa'ed Ventures and 500 Global led the investment round, with participation from BECO Capital and ANB Capital, while Stride Ventures provided the debt financing.

BRKZ explains that the $18 million debt amount is not a new standalone facility, but part of a $30 million venture debt facility previously announced with Stride Ventures. As a result, the company's total funding since its founding has exceeded $70 million in equity and debt financing.

How will the company use the funding?

BRKZ intends to direct the funds toward developing its AI-powered engine for pricing, preparing quotations, and fulfilling orders, in addition to deepening its integration across the construction materials supply chain and expanding its embedded finance solutions. It also plans to expand cross-border sourcing and trade, including direct corridors with China, India, and other manufacturing markets.

The company was founded in 2022 by Ibrahim Manna and is headquartered in Riyadh. Its platform connects construction companies and factories with local and international suppliers, while providing sourcing, pricing, logistics, and flexible payment terms within a single procurement relationship.

What do the operating data say?

According to the company, BRKZ serves more than 1,500 construction companies and 150 construction materials factories through a network of approximately 2,100 local and international suppliers. Since its founding, it has sold more than $133 million worth of raw, locally sourced, and imported materials, equivalent to 500 million Saudi riyals, and has processed requests for quotations worth more than $1.37 billion, or 5.13 billion riyals.

BRKZ says that over the past three years it has built a proprietary database containing approximately 38 million structured data points, covering more than 13,000 product records and 2,100 supplier profiles. Its pricing engine relies on approximately 40,000 requests for quotations to forecast purchase and selling prices and suggest suitable suppliers. The company adds that between 84% and 89% of forecasts fall within 5% of the transaction's final price, while the final decision remains with procurement teams.

Why does this funding matter?

The core significance of the news is not limited to the size of the round, but also lies in BRKZ's shift from building a supplier and data network to automating larger parts of the construction materials procurement process. The company says its software agent, Nusa, processes images of cement delivery notes sent via WhatsApp, matches them with orders, verifies quantities, and closes deliveries, with approximately three-quarters of delivery notes processed without manual intervention. Historical payment behavior data is also used to support decisions on payment terms, while the finance team retains final approval.

In practice, this means the impact of the funding will appear in pricing, order fulfillment, sourcing, and financing—not merely in adding a digital interface to a traditional market. However, the operating figures and model accuracy cited in the article were provided by BRKZ itself, and the Series B round remains open to strategic investors. Earlier in 2026, the company received an undisclosed strategic investment from SIC, the investment arm of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund.
