Skalar has launched a model to finance sales and marketing expenses for technology startups without taking equity or imposing a fixed repayment schedule, instead recovering its money from revenue generated by acquired customers. The company says it has committed to financing more than $125 million for seven companies over the next 12 months, while the risks of accelerated repayment or discontinued funding remain for customers.
AMAN Holding, Bokra, and Erada Finance have joined the Scale It Forward program developed by GIZ Egypt and enpact to introduce venture debt financing into Egypt’s growing companies ecosystem. The program will begin by piloting financing of at least the equivalent of €5,000 per company, alongside €5,000 in non-repayable support.
BRKZ secured $13 million in a Series B round and $18 million in debt growth financing to develop pricing, fulfillment, and embedded finance tools and expand cross-border sourcing. The company says its platform serves more than 1,500 construction companies and relies on data from millions of products and requests for quotations.
