Logitech Considers Egypt Its Third-Largest Regional Market and Studies Increasing Investments

Egypt ranks third among Logitech’s markets in the Middle East by sales volume, after the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The company is considering increasing its local investments and resources based on market needs and economic feasibility. Murad Ali, Head of the Middle East and Central Asia region at Logitech for Business, said the Egyptian market has become an important pillar of the company’s regional strategy.

Ali made the remarks during a partner conference hosted by Egypt that brought together around 150 partners and 240 participants from 22 countries over three days. Rather than organizing separate events for each market, Logitech brought together partners from North Africa, South Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East at a single regional event.

From Sales to Expanding Local Infrastructure

According to the company, its relationship with the Egyptian market is no longer limited to importing and selling products. Local partners have begun directing investments toward offices, human resources, warehouses and supply chains, with a growing shift toward warehousing inside Egypt instead of relying entirely on external warehouses.

The event’s participant base included more than 30 Egyptian partners. Logitech relies on these partners to understand market changes, consumer behavior and companies’ needs. Its customer sectors in Egypt include healthcare, education, government services and banks, in addition to the consumer sector, particularly electronic gaming and products aimed at individuals.

Artificial Intelligence at the Core of Meeting Solutions

Ali said artificial intelligence has become a central part of Logitech’s strategy and new products. The company aims to reduce manual intervention throughout the entire meeting cycle, from connection and recording to analyzing meeting content and extracting the actions and steps required after it ends.

The technologies used in meeting rooms address elements such as image quality, lighting, the number of participants, and the start and end times of the meeting. As a result, cameras are evolving, according to the company’s description, from tools that only transmit images into platforms that provide visuals, data and statistics to help manage meetings.

Local Manufacturing Remains Under Consideration

Logitech has not announced a decision to establish a production line in Egypt. Ali explained that local manufacturing would remain an option tied to the results of a feasibility study, demand volume, and the potential to achieve advantages in cost, pricing and supply chains, in addition to the potential benefit of available facilities and incentives. The final decision rests with the company’s senior management.

Logitech says it aims to offer high-quality products at competitive prices while maintaining its quality standards. It also noted that its products are available in around 170 countries and that it continues to assess investment and expansion opportunities according to the needs of each market.

What Is Changing in Practice?

The most important point is not merely hosting a regional conference in Egypt, but the relationship’s transition to a broader level that includes local warehousing, an expanded role for partners, and linking investment decisions to actual demand. Nevertheless, the source does not establish the existence of a specific new investment or a timetable for local manufacturing; these matters remain tied to feasibility studies and senior management decisions.
