Oppo unveils Find X10 Pro Max smartphone with triple 200-megapixel cameras

Oppo has launched its new smartphone, the Find X10 Pro Max, in European and Asian markets, replacing last year's Find X9 Pro model and positioning it below the Find X9 Ultra model, while continuing its absence from the US market.

The phone features a design with minor adjustments inspired by the company's collaboration with Hasselblad, including a matte aluminum frame and a soft-touch back. It is available in two colors: Luna White and Titanium Grey. The device features a 6.78-inch screen with a peak brightness of 3,600 nits, support for an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 to 144 Hz, 10-bit color depth, Dolby Vision technology, and a five-channel sensor to support adaptive ambient light adjustment.

Imaging system and technical performance

The phone's camera system relies on three different 200-megapixel sensors for the main, telephoto, and ultrawide cameras. The main camera uses a 1/1.3-inch Samsung HPC sensor, while the previous Find X9 Ultra model included a Sony sensor that was approximately 25 percent larger. The phone supports 3x optical zoom and lossless zoom capability up to 6x, with better autofocus in low light compared to previous versions.

The phone is powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, manufactured using a 2nm process, which supports 61 percent better multi-core energy efficiency compared to previous generations. It comes equipped with a 7,150 mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting fast wired charging up to 80W and 50W wireless charging exclusively via the company's AirVOOC charger.

What does the phone practically change for users?

The phone focuses on improving video recording capabilities through the DeepPix technology integrated into the Samsung sensor, which provides a dynamic range of up to 17 stops to record details in bright and low-light environments. The Pro Video mode also offers support for OpenGate recording and O-Log2 format, with the ability to use the Blackmagic camera app and compatibility with the custom creation kit from Tilta.

The phone is being released in the United Kingdom at a price of £1,499, with promotional offers including free accessories such as a teleconverter lens attachment, a smartwatch, or a tablet for the early period until October 28.
