Google announced on September 1, 2026, that it had begun rolling out five new features for Android phones, focusing on accessibility, usage customization, and leveraging Gemini for practical everyday tasks. Motion Assist Aims to Reduce Motion Sickness

Google is adding a section called remembered items to Find Hub, allowing users to tell Gemini where they put an important item so the description can be saved for later reference. For example, a user can say that they placed their passport in a bedroom drawer, and they can also attach a photo to help identify the item in the future.
In Google Messages, integration with Google Keep now allows users to share and edit shopping lists, travel notes, and other information directly within the conversation. Users will also be able to customize each conversation with a different background, image, or colors, with the text bubbles automatically matching these choices. Apple has offered a similar function for custom backgrounds in Messages since last year.
