New technical integration from Motorola
Motorola has unveiled the expansion of its tech ecosystem associated with its latest phone, the Motorola Signature 27, by introducing two new products: the Moto Watch 2 Fit and the Moto Buds 2 Ultra. This launch comes as part of the company's strategy to enhance the user experience by integrating specialized technologies from leading companies in the fields of health and acoustics.
Moto Watch 2 Fit: Health tracking powered by Polar technologies
The new watch comes with a 1.85-inch OLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 3, featuring a peak brightness of 1500 nits and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The watch relies on Polar algorithms to provide accurate analysis of athletic performance, including the Running Index to measure aerobic efficiency, energy expenditure metrics, and advanced sleep analysis.
The watch features an IP68 dust and water resistance rating (5ATM), making it suitable for various athletic activities. The company also announced future plans to add an AI-powered assistant feature named "Ask Anything" to guide users during workouts via voice commands.
Moto Buds 2 Ultra: Audio experience by Bose
Motorola focused on sound quality in its new earbuds through Bose SoundDesign technology and the Bose QuietControl active noise cancellation system. The earbuds support Dolby Atmos and Head Tracking to provide an immersive audio experience, in addition to an AI-powered real-time translation feature when paired with compatible Motorola phones.
What does this mean for users?
This launch represents an attempt by Motorola to provide an integrated ecosystem for users who prefer to stay within a single tech environment. Relying on partnerships with brands like Polar and Bose aims to bridge the gap in health data accuracy and sound quality, which are often weak points in wearables from phone manufacturers. However, the true value of these devices remains contingent upon the seamlessness of software integration with the Signature 27 phone and the actual user experience upon activating the upcoming AI features.
The products will be available in global markets in the coming weeks, with prices starting at 119 euros for the watch and 199 euros for the earbuds, with name variations in some markets to become Moto Watch Fit 27 and Moto Buds Ultra 27.
