A TechCrunch writer says that rebuilding Siri in iOS 27 has made the assistant more useful for multi-step requests and understanding on-screen content, after years of limited use. The ecosystem also introduces new tools for Shortcuts, privacy, and safety, while some limitations remain in accuracy and app integration.
Apple has released the public versions of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate, with a trial version of the Siri AI assistant available on supported devices and in supported languages. The new assistant remains unavailable at launch in the European Union and suspended in China, and it is currently not available in Arabic.
