Tesla showcased at least 11 Semi trucks bearing the logos of customers such as PepsiCo, DHL, US Foods, and Einride ahead of an event launching the truck’s dedicated factory in Nevada. The ZET SCALE Alliance announced that its members have committed to purchasing 2,500 Class 8 electric trucks, most of which will be supplied by Tesla, alongside Kenworth, Volvo, and RIDE. The initiative aims to reduce the risks of transitioning to zero-emission transportation by combining demand, financing, and charging in a single model.
Tesla was selected as the primary supplier for an order of 2,500 heavy-duty electric trucks under the ZET SCALE coalition, in a deal that could nearly double the number of electric Class 8 trucks operating on U.S. roads. However, the order does not mean that all the trucks will be Tesla Semi models, as it includes secondary suppliers Kenworth, Volvo, and RIDE.

The projects include an additional 30 megawatts of capacity and reservations for more than 330 Tesla Semi trucks.
