Saudi company OmniOps, which specializes in sovereign AI infrastructure technologies, announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with HPE during the LEAP event to develop AI solutions that combine HPE infrastructure produced under the “Made in Saudi” initiative with OmniOps platforms developed in the Kingdom and its capabilities for deployment there.
The partnership comes within the framework of HPE’s initiative called Saudi Made, Developed & Deployed, and aims to help government entities and organizations accelerate AI adoption, while supporting local technical capabilities and strengthening digital sovereignty. According to the available information, the memorandum of understanding does not represent an announcement of a specific commercial product or a timeline for implementing particular deployments.

The two companies say the collaboration will combine locally produced infrastructure, AI platforms developed in Saudi Arabia and in-Kingdom deployment expertise, with the aim of building an integrated package extending from servers and core infrastructure to AI application management. Under this vision, solutions can be validated, deployed and supported within Saudi Arabia, while operating within its jurisdiction.
This approach goes beyond the usual focus on where data is stored or models are operated. The partnership also targets the infrastructure layers on which AI workloads run, so that local control extends from hardware to software, deployment processes and enterprise management. This matters to entities that need greater control and transparency regarding the location of data, the party that developed the platform and the source of the hardware running it.
The role of the Bunyan platform
OmniOps’ offerings are centered on the Bunyan AI inference platform, which enables organizations to deploy and manage AI workloads across cloud, on-premises and air-gapped environments, in accordance with security, regulatory and operational requirements. The platform also provides access to large language models hosted within the Kingdom, alongside the infrastructure components needed to adopt and securely deploy generative AI.
According to the company, Bunyan is distinguished by an architecture that does not depend on a specific type of hardware, allowing locally produced computing capabilities to be integrated while preserving different options for customers regarding AI infrastructure providers.
