The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) won the "Best Success Partner Academies" and "Best Employers" awards during the activities of the seventh edition of the Huawei Employment Forum (HiRE 7). This came with the attendance and participation of Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the Institute, on behalf of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, organized by Huawei and under the auspices of the Ministries of Communications, Labor, and Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The forum witnessed the honoring of distinguished entities, success partners, and academies in Egyptian universities that effectively contributed to the rehabilitation programs for young cadres. This honor comes as a culmination of the joint efforts between the National Telecommunication Institute and Huawei to link specialized training with the actual requirements of the labor market.
Harvest of Partnership and Qualification of Digital Cadres
The Director of the National Telecommunication Institute emphasized that the cooperation with Huawei constitutes an integrated model that combines specialized training with practical application and obtaining international professional certifications. This cooperation has resulted in the following outcomes:
- Training and certifying 2,000 trainers who participated in teaching at more than 190 Huawei academies within Egyptian universities.
- Preparing and training about 125,000 trainees in various technical specializations.
- Graduating more than 7,000 trainees through the Egyptian Talent Academy in advanced fields such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, big data, and fifth-generation networks.
- Establishing 5 specialized laboratories in fiber optics to train engineers and technicians participating in national projects.
What Does This Development Represent for the Egyptian Telecommunications Sector?
The «HiRE 7» forum and its associated training frameworks reflect the importance of integrating digital capacity building with direct employment opportunities. The forum provides graduates with the opportunity to communicate directly with technology sector institutions and get closely acquainted with available vacancies and career opportunities, helping to transform academic skills and certificates into real jobs. These steps come as a continuation of the National Telecommunication Institute's endeavors to build a national base of qualified cadres capable of competing locally and regionally, in support of Egypt's Digital Strategy.
