Huawei launches the seventh edition of the HiRE forum to provide 2,000 job opportunities in cooperation with government entities

Huawei officially launched the seventh edition of the technical employment forum (HiRE 7) in Egypt, with broad participation including 120 partners from private sector companies and relevant entities, providing 2,000 job opportunities for young people seeking careers in telecommunications and information technology. The forum's activities were held under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the National Telecommunication Institute, and in the presence of Minister of Labor Dr. Hassan Raddad.

The seventh edition witnessed a combination of physical attendance and virtual interaction through a dedicated platform aimed at reaching over 100,000 digital talents and competencies. The platform allows job seekers to create personal profiles, upload resumes, browse vacancies, and communicate directly with recruiters, in addition to participating in virtual interviews, professional development sessions, and reviewing the success stories of Huawei academy graduates.

Memorandums of understanding and strategic partnerships to support training

On the sidelines of the event, Huawei signed a new memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Labor aimed at activating the Huawei ICT Academy, providing self-training courses through its platform for trainees, and qualifying the Ministry's IT staff on the latest technologies. The agreement also includes equipping a lab in vocational training centers, providing training opportunities for students and top graduates of Egyptian universities, and organizing awareness workshops on the new labor law and supporting the empowerment of people with disabilities.

Success partners from government entities were also honored with Best Government Partners awards; received by Dr. Heba Adel for the Huawei Academy at the Egypt Digital Generation Initiative, Dr. Iman Serageldin for the Huawei Academies at the National Telecommunication Institute, and Dr. Mona Heikal for the Huawei Academy at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in appreciation of their role in implementing national initiatives for technological training.

What does the forum represent for the technical labor market?

The organization of the "HiRE 7" forum comes as a continuation of the efforts of the digital capacity-building ecosystem in Egypt, as government representatives pointed to the centrality of integration between the state and the private sector to bridge the gap between academic skills and actual labor market needs. The forum highlights vital specializations including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, big data, and fifth-generation (5G) networks.

Through ongoing cooperation between the National Telecommunication Institute and Huawei since 2020, more than 2,000 trainers have been trained and certified via the Digital Capabilities Bank, who in turn teach more than 135,000 trainees across approximately 193 academies within Egyptian universities. In a related context, tens of thousands of students have registered in advanced technological tracks for the 2025-2026 season, making these academies and forums an actual link that transforms academic knowledge and international professional certifications such as HCIA, HCIP, and HCIE into sustainable career paths and real employment opportunities.
