BYD has set October 13 as the launch date for its flagship electric sedan, the Great Han, in China, with a claimed range of up to 1,008 kilometers under the CLTC standard and a starting price of approximately $37,200. The car offers 1,500-kilowatt fast charging, along with rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions.
The Toyota bZ3X, produced through the GAC-Toyota joint venture in China, has been spotted undergoing testing in Thailand in a right-hand-drive version, strengthening the possibility of its launch outside the Chinese market. Toyota has still made no official announcement regarding the timing or markets where it will be available.
