Floqer is working to automate a significant part of business-to-business sales research through a platform that gathers information about companies and people and updates it within a knowledge base customized for sales and marketing teams. The company says it has surpassed $1.2 million in annual recurring revenue, while its total revenue grew roughly tenfold over the past year.
Floqer is preparing to showcase its project on the Startup Battlefield stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, and told the source that it plans to open-source the technology powering its customer knowledge database in early 2027, after completing security reviews.
From Cleaning CRM Data to Customer Research
The company began in 2024 with a Chrome extension called Super Chat, which allowed users to sign in with a ChatGPT account to understand information and take notes. However, the founders noticed that large companies were using the tool to help clean data in customer relationship management (CRM) systems—a process that relied heavily on manual work and lacked consistent procedures for updating records.
Floqer then shifted its focus to developing a platform that gathers information about prospects. The user describes what they are looking for, and AI agents then search multiple sources to build lists of relevant companies and people.
Continuous Updates and Data from Multiple Sources
Floqer says its system enriches account data using more than 100 external sources. When searching for a verified email address or phone number, the system uses a sequential approach that checks different data providers until it finds usable information.
The platform also continuously monitors the web to detect changes such as a person moving to a new job, receiving a promotion, or the company they work for raising new funding, and then reflects these updates in customer records. According to the company, its customers have reported reducing prospecting time by up to 70%.
Why Does This Development Matter?
The platform’s practical value lies not only in creating an initial list, but also in trying to keep sales data up to date after it has been collected. This could benefit teams that rely on constantly changing information, but it puts data accuracy, provenance, and verification methods at the center of the experience, particularly when the platform handles sensitive contact information and customer records.
The company says the knowledge base is currently available to a limited audience because of its operational capacity to handle demand, and that the decision to open-source some or all of its code responds to customers who want to host their data themselves or modify the technology and build on top of it. However, the open-source release has not yet been implemented; security reviews will come first because of the sensitivity of the data and the reliance of large companies on the system.
The Company and Funding
Shivam Mahajan and Zaaheda Islam founded the company after meeting at university. Floqer raised $2 million in pre-seed funding, with participation from Perplexity’s F7 Fund, N49P, and Tidal Venture Partners, in addition to Denis Yarats, co-founder of Perplexity. The company has eight employees and more than 1,000 customers, including Perplexity, Wise, and AngelList.
