A Practical Design Change

More Space With the Same Platform
The car uses the same Geely SEA architecture found in the updated coupé version of the Polestar 4. The new version provides 1,680 liters of total storage space in the front and rear compartments, while luggage capacity reaches 1,665 liters when the rear seats are folded. The higher roof also adds 2.5 centimeters of headroom in the second row compared with the coupé, and the standard roof rails allow a dynamic roof load of up to 100 kilograms.
The standard panoramic glass roof extends to the tailgate, while the SUV exclusively offers an electrochromic version that can be dimmed through the central display.
One Battery and Two Powertrain Options
All Polestar 4 SUV versions come with a 100-kilowatt-hour battery. The rear-wheel-drive version uses a 200-kilowatt motor, or 272 horsepower, and achieves a range of up to 630 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle, with acceleration from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.3 seconds.
The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version delivers 400 kilowatts, or 544 horsepower, and 686 newton-meters of torque. It accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.9 seconds, with a range of up to 600 kilometers. Charging capacity is 200 kilowatts via direct current and 22 kilowatts via alternating current in select markets.
The Performance package adds active dampers from ZF, Brembo brakes with gold-colored calipers, and 22-inch wheels fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires. Polestar also confirmed the availability of Vehicle-to-Load technology for all Polestar 4 cars, with up to 3.3 kilowatts of alternating current through an approved adapter, along with a Camping mode that maintains climate control while the car is stationary.
Pricing, Production, and What Actually Changes
German prices, including value-added tax, start at €57,900 for the rear-wheel-drive version and €65,900 for the dual-motor version, rising to €76,300 with the Performance package. The car is manufactured in Busan, South Korea, where production began during the second quarter of 2026.
Polestar is also replacing the Google Assistant voice assistant with Google Gemini, with its rollout covering 22 countries and 16 languages.
